The reduction in capacity will be 3,000 mostly unsold seats.

The money you contribute to the annual fund as a result of ticket priority changes will NOT be used for the club seat section. It will go to funding scholarships, which have risen by more than $4 million since the last time we increased the minimum requirement for seats 10 years ago. Your contribution will also be used to fund the team and coaching staff you enjoy on game day.

When you come back to Doak in the fall, you'll notice we have painted the seating deck and made improvements to the bathrooms which are actually being funded by revenues generated by the Champions Club seats.

So the only people funding the Champions Club are Champions Club buyers who are also helping to fund the improvements you will enjoy in Doak.

The perfect supply vs demand size in our market is about 70k.

I think you'll notice the difference when visiting a restroom or concession stand next season. We reduced the bleacher capacity by more than 9000 without a reduction in restrooms. The 6000 club seats are self contained (concessions and restrooms) so you will now have 69,000, rather than 78,000 people, using those facilities.

That's better than a 12 percent improvement in the head-to-"head" count.

In this rendering, you see a glass wall, right behind where the Chiefs are seated, which was originally conceived to be a closed in pre-function space for the 3rd floor ballroom. Rather than making that a closed room with a glass wall looking at the field, we are now strongly considering making it a covered, weather-proof, patio area with an open-air view of the stadium and field, nice patio flooring, paddle fans, HD TVs. This would give us two indoor/outdoor spaces, one on the 3rd floor (this space and ballroom) and one on the 6th levels (covered rooftop terraces and Osceola Grill). The fourth floor, will be the giant 42,000 sq ft air-conditioned club spaces so the University Center Club manager Tracy Marple and membership director Cherrie Barbree believe very strongly this will be a great space on game day and a very rentable pre-function space for the ballroom throughout the year.

The UCC is the managing partner for Seminole Boosters and manage clubs at other stadiums such as Texas, Baylor and Texas Tech as well as more than 250 clubs around the world.

In the video, membership director Cherrie Barbree is standing on the concourse to be renovated talking about the open sky where the seats have been removed and the concession stands will soon be demo'd (they are now blocking the view of the field). This demo will open up a 120-130 foot wide view of the field right behind the Chiefs. The new club seats will be installed above this area providing the weather proofing for the patio area.

"The lower level (was the 200 section) does not move forward. It will be built exactly in the same place as the old seats were. It is the upper level of seats is what will move forward by 24 feet. We will extend those decks 24 feet closer to the field with 12 rows of seats cantilevered from those terraces, overhanging six rows of these lower level seats.

I've gone into the stands and sprayed paint 24 feet from the terrace edge and then paced off 36 more feet to where the front row of the upper level seats will be, which is a total of 60 feet from the existing terrace edge. It will not be as close to the field as the first row of the lower level seat but perched 12 feet higher will be an impressive view.

Here's some background you need to know. Seminole Boosters partnered with Club Corporation of America more than 15 years ago when we built the University Center Complex to create a year round dining and entertainment operation which is very unusual in collegiate stadiums. The University Center Club is a member of Club Corps network of 250 clubs across the world. Club Corp has since started clubs at Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech and other campuses.

The Boosters share of the profit in the UCC helps to fund FSU Athletics.

Our partnership with Club Corp has been good and the Champions Club will only expand the amount of space available to rent which enables the UCC to host more events and larger events than they now can. In addition to being an outstanding game day club, the expanded club will become the most-dynamic conference space in our area.

Currently, we are limited in the size and number of events we can handle with one ballroom, the grill, and a half dozen smaller rooms. The Champions Club will add an additional 17,000 sq ft ballroom on a new fourth floor, a 17,000 sq ft sports bar styled space on that fourth floor, as well as another 6,000 sq ft air conditioned area on the fourth floor. We also have TWO, 17,000 sq ft covered rooftop terraces and more than 5,000 sq ft of area for the 3rd floor ballroom extension. There is also a large welcoming courtyard between the elevator towers which will make all functions at the combined space more enjoyable.

If you live in the Tallahassee area, you will likely come to the Champions Club and UCC for weddings, proms, fraternity and sorority parties, corporate outings, conferences, private parties, dining or entertainment at various times during the year. And you might well come for outdoor concert as the Champions Club lends itself as an ampitheater.

If you only use the Champions Club on the Friday-to-Sunday of football weekends, you'll enjoy many of these entertainment and dining options as well. But the main benefit of the year round use for you is the price you pay for a club seat. The revenue generated 360 days per year allows us to offer the club seats at a price lower than other stadiums where the club does not generate revenue except on game day. The price of a Champion Club seat is $1500 per year (with food and beverage and weekend use included) where most collegiate clubs are $2500 or more for game day use only.

I have sat there to hear what it sounds like and its good as the Chiefs are playing away from you so its not a bad thing.
We have many Seminole fans who are huge Chiefs fans, and former Chiefs, who will love to watch them throughout the game. So sitting right above them will be a huge plus for some.
I also have a dream to incorporate the Chiefs in the club seat experience but its yet only a dream...
