They charged to the front after an excellent spring where eight of the nine teams competing finished in the Top-20 including three Top-10 finishes by beach volleyball (4), baseball (5), and softball (9).

The Seminoles were the second highest rated team in the ACC behind No. 5 North Carolina. Notre Dame, which is in the ACC for every sport besides football, was the only other ACC team in the Top-25 at No. 23.
FSU finished second in the state of Florida as well. UF led the state at No. 3. Miami (56), South Florida (90), Central Florida (97), and Florida Gulf Coast (100) were the other programs from the state to finish in the Top-100.
