Well that sucks! New ACC slogan needs to be "$70M per year or bust!" ($51M by 2029 is just unacceptable - I really hope he's wrong on that, because I don't know if the SEC or B1G will want to add teams if they're making that kind of money).
ReplyDeleteMark, I hate to say it, but almost everything I have predicted (here and on FSU boards) has been true. Most were so busy just accepting the ACCs moves they resisted any claims that the ACC would have issues. The ACC won't just implode, but like the Big East, it will slowly become irrelevant. That includes basketball as you already seeing SEC schools buying big time talent, coaches, and facilities. Swofford was a train wreck and the ACC celebrated him for it.
