I've long wondered if the Mag Lab provided good collaborative opportunities with battery research. It appears now it does. Would really like to see FSU hire a "battery cluster". Obviously battery tech is important in laptops, cellphones and other electronics, but huge emerging markets in electric vehicles and energy storage (residential, commercial and utility-scale) make this a potentially significant play.
FSU HAS to leverage the Mag Lab into attracting and attaining substantially more researchers and grants and (secondarily) start ups.
