Is the 9 game football schedule, ACC basketball schools are pushing, good for FSU?

"This article is so oversimplified. First of all, a ninth home game doesn't replace UTC or Charleston Southern, because every other year, that game would be on the road, meaning we would have one less home game in those years, so you're wrong, it doesn't replace those FCS games. Secondly, by forcing us to have 5 road games a season, (5 ACC RG's and then 4+UF), it means you can never really schedule a home and home series with anyone ever again. Those are kind of going away anyway, but still, we never could do that anymore. And if you wanted to schedule a neutral site game, you would have to go down to only 6 home games per season. So in essence, playing an extra game against Virginia, UNC, or Pitt, means we can't schedule Ole Miss, Alabama, Oklahoma State, etc. in the future. For the ACC teams it may be better, but for FSU, our schedule suffers by adding Duke and removing a tough neutral site opponent. In terms of that article though, Charleston Southern would still be on the schedule, it is Ole Miss who would be removed!
Also he says ESPN would give us more money to make up for one less home game. Well is that money going to make up for one of Duke's home games, or Boston College's home game, or will it be enough to cover a Florida State home game? Because we are bringing in probably over double the amount of money that those schools bring in for a home game, but when ESPN "covers the cost" are we going to get double the money? No. Lastly, he talks about how we could play more teams from the Coastal more often. I have two things to say to that... 1. I don't think FSU fans give two sh!ts about playing Virginia Tech or Pittsburgh more often; and 2. If you wanted teams in the same conference to play each other more often, you would just make the ACC one giant division, and at the end of the season, whatever two teams have the best record, play each other. This allows for way more freedom in scheduling, and we could have every team in the conference EVERY OTHER SEASON.
Anyway, this article was a joke and expanding to 9-games is good for the all the crap teams that already get more money than they deserve and bad for teams like FSU, Clemson, and probably Miami as well."

My thoughts on this crap:
1. If FSU and Clemson lose a home game every 2 years that brings in $3+M in revenue, is the ACC going to pay FSU and Clemson $1.5M *more* than the rest of the ACC in order to compensate us for our loss? Or are FSU and Clemson just going to have to eat it? If an ACC Network pays $6M/year, FSU and Clemson would only come out ahead $9M over those 2 years, while a school like Wake Forest might earn the full $12M. Why would anybody think it's a good idea to steal from your best football schools in order to subsidize the crap ones?
2. Why does the ACC *have* to expand to 9 games? The SEC didn't have to in order to get a network. Are we guaranteed to have higher payouts for the ACC Network than the SEC Network? Doubtful. I'm not even convinced moving to 9 games would even bring ACC Network payouts up to par with the SEC Network. I think the ACC will still be behind. And I think if the SEC ever does expand to 9 games, they'll leapfrog way out in front of the ACC again.
3. Does ESPN want *more* ACC games? HELL NO, they don't. They are crapping their pants in agony over the thought of more Virginia vs Wake Forest and Boston College vs Duke games. HOORAY, ACC! What ESPN wants is BETTER matchups and MORE of them. So let's change the divisions or move to pods to fix the scheduling issue.
4. Oh, wait. The ACC has time and time again voted against fixing the divisions or switching to something better like pods. Why? Because the Coastal division basketball schools like how things are setup currently. They like the relative close proximity of the Coastal schools with only recruiting-rich Miami being the outlier. They like not having to travel to BOTH of the northernmost schools and weak recruiting grounds on a regular basis like FSU and Clemson have to. They don't mind bogarting the Virginia region by having both VA schools in the same division even though the other 2 states with multiple schools are split up between the divisions. They see nothing wrong with FSU rarely facing the nearest ACC school to Tallahassee.
This conference is a joke. David Teel is a moron but he does have some ACC sources. And Wilcox is worthless as our AD; Spetman 2.0."
