"In 2013, Florida State University purchased the Donald L. Tucker Center and invested over $12 million in the building’s infrastructure.  Upgrades include a new center-hung scoreboard, overall digital signage, new seats, new sound system and a refurbished concourse.  These initial improvements were designed to significantly enhance the in-game experience for our Seminole fans.
The next step in renovations, an estimated $10 million investment which includes locker rooms and players’ lounges, are designed to create exemplary spaces for our Seminole student-athletes. The entire area encompassing last season’s locker rooms, hallways and storage rooms are being razed to enable an awe inspiring transformation from merely functional space to a place that is functionally dynamic.  Walls are coming down, both physically and metaphorically. "

FSU football looks like it will have the improvements and upgrades to Doak Campbell Stadium completed in time for the 2016 opener.

Even before the home schedule for the 2015 season was over for FSU football, work had already started on the massive campaign to improve the home of the Seminoles, Doak Campbell Stadium. Everything from the new Champions Club in the south end zone to upgrades throughout the stadium are being done in an effort to keep it one of the best in college football. As with any projects, there can be delays and other issues that keep things from finishing on time. With hurricane season just around the corner, that risk increases the same as any other project in the state of Florida.
Officials from FSU football say that isn’t the case and things will be done by the time FSU football takes the field against Charleston Southern on September 10th. On the team’s Twitter page, several videos have been published showing the improvements taking place at both ends of the stadium: The size of the north end zone scoreboard will make it the second biggest in all of college football, trailing just Auburn. The actual size of the screen will be the fourth largest behind Auburn, Texas A&M and Texas. A new scoreboard is also being added to the south end zone on top of the over $80 million Champions Club that will be three times the size of the old one.
