That pretty much explains why TV contracts are 80% football, 20% basketball (4-to-1). If recent emphasis on football at Duke (last 4 years) and UNC (this year) are an indication, I think Tobacco Road finally gets it... now, about Syracuse...
Syracuse did make a good hire. Tobacco Road has to start making football decisions now for the conference....noticing TV contracts and press coverage of the ACC versus the SEC and caring. I do not believe the conference 'gets it'. 90% of that leadership believes if they go to even mid level bowls....they are competing. They aren't.
