New FSU Dorms

  1. Love all the new dorms FSU has built in the last 10-15 years. Four starters, they maintain the traditional look from FSU's earlier days (unlike the forms they're replacing). They're also going to be good long term revenue generators. But maybe most importantly, it gets FSU closer to being able to house the whole freshmen class on campus. While they currently don't make it mandatory for freshmen to live on campus when available, in the future they might. And I personally think they should. It would serve two purposes: 1) Greatly reduce the need of freshmen to have cars on campus.* 2) Most importantly, freshmen who live on campus are mite likely to get better grades, stay in school and graduate on time.

    *I don't think parking is the huge issue most students make it out to be. But it would reduce those complaints and free FSU from having to expect any additional land capital on garages.

    1. Yup. Nailed it. Keep improving the area around campus, makes it more desirable on top of it. Win win situation all around.
