Percentages of alumni who are also athletic donors among ACC peer institutions. (Update)

Great update from https://accfootballrx.blogspot.com/

https://accfootballrx.blogspot.com/2019/04/donations-by-acc-school-4119.html

If we combine that with data from USA Today's 2017 college sports financial report, we get this:

ACC School% alumni# donors$ donationsavg donation
Florida State5.80%21k$41,504,734$1,900
Louisville6.10%8k$39,268,342$4,900
Clemson19%28k$33,782,757$1,200
Virginia4.40%10k$26,127,871$2,600
N Carolina4.10%12.5k$21,388,432$1,700
Virginia Tech5.60%13k$15,766,272$1,200
NC State7.90%19k$15,078,662$700
Georgia Tech5.30%8k$11,187,993$1,300
(note: #donors and average donation are estimates)

BOTTOM LINE: In terms of total dollars, FSU and Louisville are 1 and 2. However, Clemson leads the ACC in terms of participation - they have the most inclusive alumni association by far. NC State is actually second in terms of percent of living alumni who donate, but the Wolfpack trail the Seminoles because of having fewer total alumni - and significantly lower average donation. Pitt and Syracuse have the fewest donors - which could mean they have the biggest growth potential, I suppose?
