Note to FSU. IF you are going to allow Nike to change your logos, traditions, whatever. I'm OK with it, things change.

But can we stop doing this kind of @#$@#$ on the cheap? Stop giving yourself away FSU and for god sake, can we find someone new to negotiate for FSU? Nobody at FSU seems to have any idea how to do it.

  1. Yea. This is bad.

Sure, FSU signed the extension prior to all of those large deals being made. But to see how quickly we were surpassed and by HOW MUCH is very concerning.

I also care more about the "cash" value of the deals than the overall value. I feel like there's diminishing returns on the value of the "apparel" portion of the deal after a certain level.

I'd rather FSU have an $8 million deal with $4 million cash than a $10 million deal with $3 million cash.

Problem is, those hypothetical numbers dwarf our actual numbers. And we're stuck in this contract through 2023 (depending on if option years are exercised).

And the extension was signed in conjunction with the new logo and uniform designs. And that's the best contact they could get? Pathetic effort.

What was that article recently that you posted where some guy was offering advice: DON'T SIGN ANYTHING!

Yes, FSU sucks at these things. Damn shame.

    .......

FSU would likely be top 25 ($4.4-4.5 million) on that list. For whatever it's worth.
