Stats of the Day

Funny thing about these stats, the same day ESPN puts these out, it is running an article about why the ACC has the worst rep........because you say it over and over.

Why has the ACC gone with a network that is actively taking it down?

  1. Clearly the ACC is the worst "major" football conference... unless you count the Big Ten... or the Big XII or the Pac-12
But other than those, ACC teams are the WORST!

(Do they have Paul Finebaum writing this mess or what?)

  2. The ACC has to wake up to the reality that ESPN, the ACC's TV network, sees ACC football as a threat to it's biggest investment, the SEC. Why? I don't know......but you could do a thesis on info that backs this up.

At what point does the ACC go to it's business partner and say 'stop'?

The reality, the ACC doesn't care about football and you likely couldn't get agreement from the ACC itself that this is a real issue. Just easier saying 'that is crazy'.

  3. All I can figure is there must be some SEC alumni in positions of power within ESPN and/or Disney. The way they continue to defend that conference against all rational thought just doesn't make sense.

  4. Just from the SEC Network start last year alone, ESPN added dozens of ex SEC players and SEC media to the payroll. That doesn't count the size of the investment ESPN has in ESPN. That network is TOTALLY in on the SEC....and FSU is a threat to SEC (see first team to break their national title streak)....plus, the ACC has shown ZERO desire to push back on it's business partner to stop tearing down ACC product.

ACC Tobacco Road is no fan of FSU (or any other expansion team...especially football ones), so they see no issue at all here and certainly won't go to bat for FSU with it's business partner.

Sets up perfectly for ESPN and it's pro SEC push and attacking whatever might threaten that.
