FSU seeks subcontractors for new film school

FSU seeks subcontractors for new film school

In January, the university finalized the purchase of the former Regal Governor's Square movie theater after the facility permanently closed the previous month.

It will be used to showcase films produced by students, faculty members and alumni.

The 43,242 square-foot theater has 12 auditoriums, and the first step would be to operate it as a theater.

FSU officials previously said plans are underway to relocate the college’s Center for Cinematic Innovation, known as Torchlight Studios, from Midway in Gadsden County to the new site.
