ACC Network Bias?

Just for the record, I'm OK with bias IF it is bias towards TV ratings...and thus money.  But looking at this list (I hate Miami, but they bring some ratings), it is not.

Standard stupid ACC.

1993 FSU National Title remembered

Tuesday, October 15, 2019

Just like FSU in 2014, the media/voters pushing narrative for conference loyalty

Pro SEC media did the exact same thing to FSU in 2014 that is happening to Clemson now.

The ACC doesn't think this has anything to do with them.  They are wrong.  They were wrong to leave FSU to fend for themselves in 2014 and are wrong for doing the same with Clemson today.

A reigning national champion who is undefeated and the pro SEC media is working hard to knock them down.

Wake up ACC, you need to have your network fight for you, not against you.

Jay Bilas does it again...

Yes, an ACC grad, but again, ESPN always overcredits SEC and undercredits ACC......even with 'ACC' talking heads.  Pathetic.  The ACC can't pull it's own head out of it's ass.

ESPN, the "ACC's Network"

Yes, FSU is to blame for it's fast fall from the top.  Yes, it is OK to point out Willie's failure on the recruiting trail.  But that doesn't change the reality that ESPN doesn't put a positive spin on every SEC product and seems almost gleeful to take down the ACC's, once top football product, every chance they can.

With friends like these....who needs enemies.

More ESPN bias with playoff

http://allsportsdiscussion.com/2018/12/07/did-espn-have-an-agenda-trying-to-force-feed-georgia-into-the-playoffs/

I have to go with with my blog partner @Hokiesmash_ASD who surmised that ESPN pushed the Georgia agenda to gain viewers for the playoff show. I am now convinced he is correct. There’s no rational reason to have included Georgia in the playoff discussion other than to try and build an audience.
Why? – is what escapes me, as you could have pushed the decision into an Oklahoma vs Ohio State one after the Buckeyes won the Big 10. To me Oklahoma was still the choice, but at least a debate of Oklahoma vs Ohio State was within reason. The Buckeyes were barely in the discussion.
Could have it been the old rumblings of E SEC PN?
Let’s just say when the ACC Network launches next year, will ESPN be pushing for 2 ACC and 2 SEC teams? I highly doubt that, but this Georgia inclusion was just t0o far fetched to think it was anything more that some kind of background agenda by ESPN.

ESPN shows it's SEC bias again

Just wish ESPN would just admit it, so we could all ignore the clearly obvious bias.

Just can't trust the media.

Past examples of ESECPN doing this

ESPN ACC alumn lineup

Great research by ACC Football RX.

I have definitely been wrong in some ways regarding the number of ACC football talking heads on ESPN.  I would still argue, that the difference between face time, influence, etc of say Paul F. and other SEC talking heads up against say Dave Pasch from Syracuse is still MASSIVE for football.

The biggest ACC talking head was Danny K. and he got canned.  Still great info and solid points.

https://accfootballrx.blogspot.com/2018/07/2018-espn-broadcast-lineup.html

I've heard it many times from fans who think ESPN favors the SEC at the expense of the ACC in terms of coverage - and those fans have solid evidence to back up that claim, at least in the past. One reason cited for this disparity is that ESPN simply has had too many SEC alumni - and too few ACC alumni.

However, with the recent shake-up at ESPN, lots of highly-paid long-time employees were laid off, and some cheaper young guns were hired. Here is the broadcast crew lineup for 2018:

Commentating groups subject to change

BOTTOM LINE: Thanks in large part to the 9 from Syracuse, that's 16 total broadcasters from ACC schools. Here's the breakdown:

ACC 16
Pac 4
SEC 4
XII 4
B1G 3
ND 1

If anything, the new lineup is dominated by ACC alumni! No doubt, we could see many of those guys move over to the ACC Network next year (it's worth noting that the SEC Network teams are not listed here). Still, a hopeful sign...
