Some advanced stats: 2009 - S&P+ 76, FEI 107 (last year of the Lost Decade) 2010 - 30, 44 (1st year of Stoops, 1st year of Fisher as HC) 2011 - 4, 17 2012 - 3, 15 2013 - 1, 1 (Pruitt's only year) 2014 - 40, 49 (1st year of Kelly) 2015 - 10, 24 2016 - 41, 65
In 7 years with Fisher as HC, Kelly is responsible for our two worst seasons on defense, 3 (his only 3 as DC) of our worst 4 seasons on defense, and the 3 worst seasons aside from season 1 which was a clear rebuilding year.
The guy will have earned something like $1.5M pre-tax from FSU in his 3 years as DC. There is nothing to feel sorry about. And there is nothing to like.
But what about how well the defense played against BC? HA! BC is worse on offense than FSU is on defense. BC's offense is even worse than UF's...BY FAR! Coming into the game BC was #122 on D in S&P+ and #127 on D in FEI (out of 128).
