FSU vs LSU Draws 9.1 Million Viewers

According to ESPN:

ESPN’s Labor Day Sunday Showdown Between No. 5 LSU and No. 8 FSU Registers 9.1 Million Viewers on ABC

Most-watched Sunday opener since 2016 (Notre Dame/Texas) & 2nd best on record

Those numbers are without Spectrum customers too! Imagine the ratings if everyone had access.

And to think it’d be higher but Spectrum dropped ESPN in Florida this weekend. They knew what they were doing. Can’t wait to watch FSU in the B1G on FOX

Lucky it was on ABC and not ESPN. Disney's blocking of spectrum would have lowered viewership significantly

By the way, only five regular season games had more viewers last season.

2022 ACC Championships game only got 3.47 M Viewers that feature 2 of the bigger ACC brands in Clemson vs North Carolina.

And in the meantime, we can compare it to the 2022 regular season's Top Ten:

1. Michigan at Ohio State — 17.14M
2. Tennessee at Georgia — 13.06M
3. Alabama at Tennessee — 11.56M
4. Alabama at Texas — 10.60M
5. Notre Dame vs. Ohio State — 10.53M
6. Alabama at Mississippi — 8.71M
7. Ohio State at Penn State — 8.27M
8. Alabama at LSU — 7.58M
9. Florida State vs. LSU — 7.55M
10. Texas A&M at Alabama — 7.15M

It would have been handily in the Top 6 against all of 2022 even with the Disney/Spectrum debacle!

That game would have been the #6 highest rated game of the entire 2022 CFB regular season, and the highest rated game that didn't involve tOSU, Alabama or Georgia. There's no way to spin this, it was a great game and the ratings were awesome.
