This will only get worse. If FSU leadership is failing to try to bolt the ACC it's an utter and complete fail. Sadly, neither the fan base nor leadership seems to get what has been boiling for the last 10 years.

"As I have mentioned a couple times in the past, I have a cousin who works the FSU beat. I was at a family gathering on Saturday and asked them if they knew what went down with Krikorian. Mind you, my cousin has not spoken directly with him or any current players, but my cousin has spoken to a few people in the FSU admin and boosters and a few ex-players. The story I heard was that Krikorian has been upset about the support the soccer program has received from the admin for several years now. This is not an issue with just Alford but something that has been simmering going back to Wilcox and Coburn. Krikorian has been fine with his salary and that truly is not what drove him away. However, he has wanted things like a new scoreboard, upgrades to the pitch, and more money for behind the scenes things (my cousin did not specify on what that meant). Krikorian, according to some folks, was made promises that these things would occur, but apparently he was told recently that these projects were either on hold or would not happen at all and that is what drove Krikorian to resign.
In my cousin's opinion, the admin is going to put all of their chips on football to try to right the budget issues and raise more revenue and is hoping that the other sports can mostly just hold steady with the current budgets they have. It sounds like the plan is for them to continue to make do with what they have now, with the promise that their budgets may increase in two or three years.
The potential long term ramification of this is that my cousin said they think Alameda is next to potentially leave if softball does not get more upgrades soon. Alameda has apparently been upset with the lack of improvements despite how good the softball team has been. It sounds like most of the other coaches on campus are tired of the cheap approach by the admin but most of them are also happy in Tallahassee and are willing to stay put. Alameda, however, is willing to bail if need be because she knows some SEC or PAC 12 team will throw crazy money at her and give her a bigger budget to work with. My cousin, however, was not saying Alameda might bail soon, but just that if another coach left for lack of support in the next few years, it would be her."
