The circus that is the FSU presidential search

This is what happened when the 'good ole boys' run your university.  Backwoods mindset is not what you need when trying to run an international research university.

The quote directly below should say everything about who runs FSU.

Has everyone connected the dots? Funk steps down as FSU president search head hunter just days after faculty OK'd no confidence vote in him.

"Florida State University is still looking for a new president. Now it's also looking for a new head hunter.
William Funk, a Dallas-based executive search consultant hired by FSU in March, informed FSU today that he was withdrawing.
Funk did not elaborate on his reasons in a two-sentence letter to Trustee Ed Burr, who chairs the presidential search advisory committee.
The FSU Faculty Senate approved a resolution of no confidence in Funk, based on the way the search had been handled. It was the first time in more than 400 presidential searches that Funk had been castigated by the faculty at a university.
The search committee next meets this Wednesday"
